The Natural Health Industry has recently been warned by Medsafe that a natural products provider may not supply information that would lead the reader to conclude that the product has therapeutic use.  Medsafe have further stated it is illegal for dietary supplements to make claims relating to any disease appearing in Schedule I of the Medicines Act 1981 (which contains all known diseases).  These diseases may only be treated by a medical professional and toxic drugs that are currently killing people three times more than road accidents, at last count in 2003.  Who knows what the death toll is now????
